I don’t even have words to explain just how amazing this book is.Let me start off by saying book 1 in this series is what got me hooked to this author. I couldn’t put it down and at the end I hated her bc I had to know what happened! It was the most intense cliff hanger I had ever read.Most of the time I read a book with a cliff hanger and a week later I forget I am waiting for book 2 and never read it. I couldn’t do that with this book! I kept waiting and checking in for a release date. I needed book 2!Book 2 did not disappoint me! I could not put it down! The twists and turns gave me whip lash! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor multiple times! The way she writes makes you feel like you are Nova! Some scenes gave me a stomach ache bc they were that good! I felt so conflicted! This duet easily has become my favorite of all time. I truly hope to see more of these characters! I don’t feel like I’m done with the disorderly series and hope to see a few more of the guys in the future!

Oh how I love Hazel Grace! I just recently started reading her books and I am addicted. Hazel knows how to write a book that makes you want to throw your kindle across the room and scream. And in the end you want to hug the author hard. She keeps you reading and you dont want to stop.This duet has all the feels and raw emotion. I wanted to toss Wyatt over a bridge with some cement shoes.Hazel Grace is my new one click author. She delivers for me every time.Read this book people. You wont be sorry.

I was blessed with an ARC of this book. I've been dreaming of this book since I read book #1 of the duet. And BOY DID HAZEL DELIVER! There is no possible way I could've been prepared for what she heaps on us in this book. I cried, I laughed, I audibly gasped and screamed and I'm certain at one point almost threw my Kindle across the room. Every emotion possible and she still brings it all together at the end. The romance is still all consuming and raw and passionate which makes it so much better. At some points it's obsessive even. The revenge is sweet and bitter at the same time. Be warned,. I had a massive book hangover, Hazel will ruin you for every other book out there.

I will ALWAYS be 100% team WYATT!! I absolutely LOVED this duet. Disorderly (the 1st book) kept my attention and kept me on the edge of my seat, plus there was some great passion and sexy times! Zealous (book 2) was just as AMAZING!! The only thing I don't like is that it is over! LOL!! This is a MUST READ!!

Zealous is the conclusion to the Disorderly duet. I loved it! It was full of twists and turns and betrayal. I was sucked in from the beginning. I loved loved Wyatt and Nova. They were perfect and scorching together! Definitely recommend this duet!

What can I say about Zealous? I freaking loved it, that's what. Its fantastic, it's got some dark parts, but overall an amazing end for Rora and Wyatt.I absolutely love the way Grace went with this story. Rora's journey through Zealous is amazing, she was already a strongwilled heroine, but in Zealous she was forced to endure hardships that catapulted her strength. And Wyatt, at times I just wanted to throat punch him, but his path down the rabbit hole of misery was amazing. And I may be a little giddy about certian events that I just needed to happen!!

This book grabbed me from the first page. Loved getting the story from both the mother's and daughter's perspectives. Fischer creates very real characters with struggles that are believable and heart-wrenching. Wonderful combination of womens fiction and love stories wrapped up with some beautiful prose. Can't wait for more from this new author.

Loved it! This articulate and emotionally satisfying storyline reverts back and forth between the lives of a mother and daughter, hinting at and slowly revealing a past secret that will impact their present and future. The book depicts a relatable family with all its flaws, problems and differences, one that manages to pull together when it's important for them to do so. Very entertaining, believable and well-written. Once I started it, I didn't want to put it down!

This story will take you through young love thought lost due to kids actions and parents decisions to keep them apart. Time however brings these two lovers back together and through determination, working together towards a common goal they marry, start a business and a family. The husband, Rudy, was an Elvis knockoff in song and moves and Nadine loved him from the first her eyes saw him and her best friend, Ruby, introduced them as the new student in their school. Nadine, Ruby & Tim had been a trio of friends that soon grew to include Rudy. Nadine played the piano and Rudy wanted her to accompany him while he sang for a school performance so began their relationship. Ruby and Tim became a twosome until a decision he made that altered their friendship on the same day Nadine & Rudy got engaged. Nadine and Ruby became best friends in the second grade and carried their friendship well into their married lives until "The Mother's Choice" altered their friendship. The ending of this story ties all these loose ends up into a beautiful heartwarming conclusion you will want to discover for yourself. Thank you Kristen Noel Fischer for sharing your talent. I also enjoyed that this was a clean love story making it a comfortable, enjoyable read.

I almost didn't finish this book for two reasons: first, it goes back and forth between the past and present, which I find distracting. Second, I found the first few chapters incredibly slow, confusing, and not very interesting. However, I continued reading because it didn't include any of the characteristics that make me shut a book early.I'm really glad I continued to the end. After a while I stopped being confused and started getting sucked into the story. I found I liked the characters, who seemed believable to me, and the plot was complex enough to keep me turning the pages. I figured out the secret a ways before the end, but was fascinated by how it was revealed. While not the best book I've ever read, it was certainly worth finishing.

Natalie Kingsley had led a full life, loving her best friend, her husband, and her children. When tragedy strikes, she makes a hard decision that’s she’s kept a secret for all these years, but now it’s time to tell the truth. Will it hurt the ones she loves, or might it heal old wounds?I love this author’s writing, but I hate how she jumps back and forth between time periods and between many characters’ points of view in first person. It disrupts the smooth flow of the story. I had a problem accepting what Natalie did in this one. Given her character and personality, it didn’t seem reasonable to me. I had it figured out long before the reveal, but I didn’t mind that. The story was still gripping, and I couldn’t give it less than five stars, despite the problems.

Heartwarming and realistic! I love how the characters in this story resemble everyday things we would/could encounter. How Nadine decides after loosing her husband,daughter and grand daughter and her best friends son. She makes a difficult decision and decides to give her baby up to her best friend as a token of affection trying to make things right after what happened with the accident. Little does she or anyone know she has identical twins. Still she gives one up. Great read with an HEA and no cliffhanger!!

There are flashbacks that tell of Nadine and her best friend, Ruby. Nadine marries Jude and they struggle but have a happy life. Ruby marries a rich man and desperately wants children buts miscarries. Nadine and Ruby live in houses where their backyards meet. Then there was the fateful day when Jude and one of their daughters is killed in an auto accident. Ruby and Nadine (who was expecting their fourth child) at the time lose their friendship. Nadine's adult children begin to uncover secrets that will surprise you as they are discovered.

Learning this can be hard, especially when there are painful secrets involved.Many of us lose our parents before we get the chance to learn all we'd like to know about their lives before we came along, and for those people, this book may have a special poignancy. This book is not much like other volumes that Merwin had already published. That says something about the time in which it was written. The poems are built from bare and austere images of things to signify a sense of loss most likely due to an early mid-life crisis magnified by the social crisis of the Vietnam War. These pieces feel incomplete and yet click with us if we have passed through similar periods.

Really strange that there were no reviews, so I figured I would add my 2 cents. This is a book that cemented Merwin's style and initiated themes that continued to evolve in subsequent works--topically elusive, void of punctuation. short lines and short poems, deeply rooted in nature and consciousness, building upon a participation mystique; this is one of the most significant and influential early deep-imagistic works. "Now all my teachers are dead except silence". The Lice first came out in the midst of Viet Nam and ecological crises, and re-issue at present regrettably is all too apt."When the war is over--we will be proud of course the air will be--Good for breathing at last..." I imagine these poems as prayers from the time of Neolithic hunters perhaps 30,000 years ago trying to understand an unknown and essentially unknowable animistic universe. One approach would be the Lascaux caves. These poems also could be their responses, shared around a guttering evening fire .perhaps in that same cave.

This book is wack. No mention of Joz and Easy. This guy claims "JA didn't get up that much". They never really bagged anybody big. The top 40 list has Ovie in it. It's gotta be a joke. On the real strictly for toys and foreigners!

Joe makes you feel like you are right there with him, he does not hold anything back. I am retired NYPD and even I liked the book, there are so many different units, over 300 in the NYPD, and most of us, even cops who worked there dont see what the other guy does. This book is a fun read by a regular guy, dealing with a problem he took personally. Grafitti clearly a problem in NY during the 80's.Sometimes the simple unknown book is the best, get a hold of Joe Cunningham history of the NYC Transit system, a self printed book, and you wlll see what I mean."Being a Cop with the NYPD gives you a front row seat to the greatest show on earth". Enjoy this book.

I read this book as part of my exploration of the HBR "10 Must Reads" series. In typical HBR style, this book contains an eclectic collection of articles which come together to provide one of the most comprehensive tomes I've seen on business and personal strategy.I recommend it to anyone who is trying to understand the core concepts of strategy, especially those who need to identify and separate various tactical actions and operational principles from the underlying strategic principles. I found these insights from some of the world's brightest minds to be just what I needed to properly set me on the path to become a much more strategic leader.

This book is a gem that every business leader and certainly every management consultant ought to have in their collection. Heavyweight management scholars talk about something that is so important to driving success in business. Business leaders often get caught up in operational effectiveness and dousing fire after fire without taking a step back and truly thinking about what forms the framework for the success of the company. This book is a collection from great minds in management and strategy.

I'm reading these texts for a leadership course and they are very interesting articles. They can be very useful for learning leadership techniques that people can use in their everyday lives but are biased towards business and organizational leadership instead of social or Civic leadership. They are still a good read to get the basic concepts of leadership such as: leadership vs management. Worth the read.

Bought as required reading for a Ph.D. program, but really think it is a good option for those not interested in research and/or a "textbook" reading experience. All of these HBR's 10 Must Reads books are reliably good for an overview of the current take on each subject (in this case, leadership).

MUST read for anyone who desires self-understanding and self-improvement. Not just for leaders (not such a great title as people may think it won't apply to everyone).If you have heard of the "fundamental attribution error" that all humans make, then this easy but brilliant read will shed the light on just how we justify it and how to get OUT of the box!!!

Used this for a Strategy and Leadership class and there were a number of great articles in it. Actually glad I have a copy to keep.

HBR's 10 Must Reads on Leadership is a collection of ten HBR essays on leadership. Every article essentially tries to answer the same question: "What are the qualities of a great leader, and how does one gain those qualities?".More specifically, the essays cover the following questions:* What does a leader need to do? ("What Makes an Effective Executive?", "What Leaders Really Do", "The Work of Leadership")* What is the ideal personality of a leader? ("What Makes a Good Leader?", "Why Should Anyone Be Led By You?", "Level 5 Leadership")* What are the various competencies of leadership and how can they be distributed across different people? ("In Praise of the Incomplete Leader", "Seven Transformations of Leadership")While reading, it's impossible not to notice the fact that while many of the articles attempt to answer same questions, they arrive at a very different conclusions. Several of the articles openly admit that while thousands of scholars have attempted to produce a cookie-cutter leadership profile, none has emerged. The article identifies the specific skills and traits needed to overcome and emerge positively from these experiences, and argues that they are the same skills and trains needed for successful leadership. "Level 5 Leadership"Jim Collins describes "level 5 leaders" (the highest level of leadership) as embodying the dualistic personality traits of personal humility and fearless professional will. While emphasizing the critical importance of "level 5 leadership", the article also describes other leadership strategies that turn good companies into great ones."Seven Transformations of Leadership"This article describes a hierarchy of leadership styles, ranging from ineffective to highly effective. I was a test panelist for this book before it came out and lost a pound a day for the first two weeks. The premise that that added sugars—not all sugars—are making us fat. It's got new research about how companies are making you fat by hiding in in your foods (even spaghetti sauce and salads), and then gives you recipes and more than 500 foods to eat instead, leading to rapid weight loss. I signed up because my doctor said I was at risk of diabetes. My wife and I ended up losing 15 pounds. I stayed on the plan and kept losing weight, which became easier as my brain got rewired and didn't crave sugar anymore. It's amazing what happens when you know how to target the one darn thing making you fat.

Probably one of the most useless and worthless books I have ever read. The author was an editor for Mens health and the Eat this not that series of books and articles. And to be honest the book is much like a series of short snippets of disjointed information.It actually starts out rather normal providing the results of many studies reporting the effects of too much added sugar. However interspersed among the writing are numerous examples of people who lost 5 pounds on his diet. The author often starts a chapter off with some trivial question which you think the chapter will somehow answer but never does. For example he mentions how two women of the same age eat the same calories weigh the same and work out the same amount but one is from the 80's and one today are vastly different. But never tells you why. After about 20 pages of somewhat coherent information the book offers some recipes that are repeated several times throughout the book. I guess he needed to add the pages. Then later he really goes off and starts adding all kind of nonsensical bits of trivial tips like telling you to try eating with your left hand and using a smaller bowl. Finally at the end in a desperate effort to add pages we are given all kinds of exercise tips totally unrelated to the topic of sugar in the diet. Probably one of the strangest books I have ever read. As a minimum he should fire his editor. This book just seems like millions of little Men's Health magazine tips put into one book. I really expected more.

I have changed my attitude about processed food. I will be more weary. I highly recommend this book. It is worth it to be educated about what you eat.

If you are looking for a very easy (but does require both work and discipline on your part) book, this is it!! After a couple of days of sugar DTs my energy came back and in 3 months I dropped 15lbs. I've gone from 175lbs (I'm only 5'7") to 154 now and holding. I'll make another push for 150 and let you know, but I've held my weight now for 7 months.

Slow and steady, but effective and healthy. Learned to make better choices and got pay off faster than I thought possible. Needed to lose belly weight in order to donate a kidney, but needed to do it in a very healthy way. Had trouble at first identifying foods I wanted to eat that had sufficient soluble fiber content but resolved that when I found microwave-baked small sweet potatoes (skin and all) and black bean products from the healthfood section of the freezer. Although I found it on my own, two pro nutritionists have reviewed my daily routines and blessed this diet, and it's one I think I can live on and modify when I finally meet my goal. I like having the 'whys' (scientific explanations of digestive and metabolic processes) and 'what' to do. The lists at the back are helpful for shopping, especially at the beginning when trying to establish a new routine. The recipes are not wonderful, but give you enough to get started. I found it easiest to follow when I discovered Spark People, a free nutrition tracking app and website, and combined that with the Spark Recipes free app which lets me input ingredients and then it calculates the nutrients and ports all across to Spark People. Added 1-time premium fee to that to get helpful analytics. Also learned I don't estimate well, so had to begin weighing and measuring portions until I got that well down. Now I have a do-able diet, good tracking tools and I have confidence that the Zero Sugar-added diet is going to continue working for me.

I'm so glad I got this book. It's a real eye-opener. I'm on day 8 of the 14 day plan, and I feel great. I picked 2 recipes for each meal and have been sticking to it. Some meals are a little light for me, so I've been adding an extra snack each day. It has definitely changed the way I view eating; losing weight is not just about burning more calories than you consume, which is what I was doing. It's about the food. I was at my target weight of 130 and was happy with that, but with this plan I lost 3 additional pounds, which I feel was from my belly area.As far as the book itself, the only thing that I didn't like was the random dialogue in the middle of pages, I felt like I had to skip around just to continue a sentence, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

Great information. Easy reading. If you're thinking about deleting sugar from your life, this is the book. Recipe's and complete sugar free grocery list. Saves a lot of work.
