The most interesting, well written insightful book I've ever read regarding mediumship. I always thought something was off with John Edwards and that maybe he was a little fake..but after he explained the way he gets his signs And how spirits communicate I have a better full understanding...and feel without a doubt he is the real deal. I walked away from this book with my grief lessened and being assured my loved ones who passed are more alive now than ever.
I am a fan (and a believer) of John Edwards books. John Edwards is a medium who talks to the dead, and believes that spirits of our loved ones ofter try to communicate with us. I read his book straight through, only stopping to sleep. It is a well written book about life after death and, like other books from other mediums, it is full of readings to people who have lost someone. In thiis book he is dead on (no pun intended) with these readings. It is an interesting read for open-minded people who believe a little differently than what is strictly in the Bible. I do believe in the Bible, but there is more than what was written down. I can sense it & in my earlier years I really felt it. This is a book to enjoy and take comfort in if you are like-minded.
I read this book a long time ago, and re-read it once since then. John Edward is an outstanding medium and has written a very moving, comforting, and uplifting book. John explains how he became a medium, how he is able to communicate with spirits and contains many readings to people who have lost a loved one. I recently attended one of his live events and he was amazing. He came across very genuine, his readings were spot on & you can tell he cares for people.I have recommended and gifted this book several times, you will not regret buying it
I really liked this book. I liked Mr. Edward's voice, his personality, his honesty. He writes easily and well. I always love to hear how mediums experienced spirits when they grew up, how they dealt with it, how they developed and ultimately became professionals. I like to hear their worldview and ideas or knowledge about God and the other side. I like hearing about their spirit guides. You get all this in One Last Time. I finished it within 24 hours of downloading.Before I bought it, I read that it would have accounts of his readings and I hesitated to buy it a moment because some of the other medium books I've read have had almost word-for-word readings that are no doubt fascinating to their clients, but of absolutely no interest to me and usually so tedious, I skim them and regret buying the book. The author/medium always needs to make these readings of strangers of interest to the reader. Mr. Edward doesn't quote entire readings word-for-word, but he does summarize some amazing stories. I didn't skim any of his book.Highly recommend to those into psychic/mediums and who enjoy memoirs. C'est moi!
4.5 stars -- not disappointed: this is John Edwards, through & throughgiving us his (often !very) personal & quite funny history of his life & timesas a psychic-medium.He is likeable, personable, upfront, & down-to-earth -- not exactly what you'd expect as a psychic --but then again, when he was young, he didn't expect himself to be a psychic-medium!There are many stories which will make you shiver, give you goosebumps, and say aloud, "OMG!" (+you'll mean it!)Don't forget to look around the room to make sure you really are alone... ...Are you sure............???I love watching John, & Char, & Long Island Psychic, James Van Praagh, my grrl Lisa Williams on tv/Youtube,AND of course, reading their books!! Thank you, modern-day prophets (& IMHO Heroes*)
John Edward is quite a guy! There are those who choose to guffaw his readings, but do not be deceived, it is for real. I have worked in the medical field with much experience in patients who have actually died and come back after resuscitation. They have all told me the same thing, which is why I truly believe that death is not to be feared but to be a beautiful arrival of peace and beauty. Gives you a very keen understanding of why we are here if only to help each other through this trying life and to give peace and understanding with everyday living. Try reading some of James Van Praaugh's writings like Talking to Heaven, Proof of Heaven by Eben Alexander, M.D. and To Heaven and Back by Mary Neal, M.D. and see what you think. Those whom you have loved and missed so dearly who have passed are with you in more ways than you can every know.
I recently lost my husband and have gotten signs .I believe in the afterlife but wanted some kind of validation.I've read a few books and watched things on television.But I needed more, John Edward gave me that more .All I can say is Thank You .... I am a believer. 💓
This book touches on various subjects including an autobiographical account of John Edward's life and how he came to become a medium. It also has him telling the reader what he sees during a reading and how he interprets it and how he can make mistakes. For me this was the most interesting part of the book, it reminded me of reading how a writer got an idea for a book. He also recounts several stories of people who he did readings for that made a permanent impression on him for various reasons.The book is very easy to read, I read the entire book in two days. It is almost like he is in front of you talking to you. He doesn't come across as arrogant, in fact he acknowledges that he has a gift, and seems warm and sincere. He even tells you how to separate a good psychic from a fraud.If you have any interest in the subject of the afterlife, psychic ability, or just an interest in John Edward, this is worth reading.In the last chapter there is a meditation exercize, which in the beginning is similar to the guided fantasy relaxation we used to do in theater, but then goes further. I haven't tried it yet, but even if it makes you relaxed, it is worth the time.
